York floods

The rain may have stopped, but the river remains flooded and surrounding streets are still knee deep in water.  York remains vibrant with the York Food Festival in full swing and visitors finding alternative ways into the City Centre. The elements may challenge the fabric of the buildings that surround the invading water, but spirits remain high as the damage is assessed and the pumps and mops combat the invasion.
